VOLUNTEER CO-ORDINATOR - ACCURO
Salary:
£15,665 per year for 21 hours a week (FTE
£27,600 pa).
Accuro is a successful long-established charity
based in west Essex providing a wide range of
services to children and adults with
disabilities as well as supporting the families
that they are part of.
We wish to recruit a Volunteer Co-ordinator to
devise plans and campaigns to increase the
number of volunteers to work with the
charity.
This will include developing recruitment
programmes in conjunction with organisations
such as local businesses, job centres, colleges,
volunteer bureaux and other community
organisations to increase volunteer
applications.
You will need a good understanding of the
factors that motivate people to volunteer, be an
excellent communicator, be creative and be able
to work on your own initiative.
Working in a small and dedicated team, the job
is based in Takeley in Essex.
The role is based on an average working week of
21 hours.
Some weekend and evening work is
anticipated.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT
WORKERS - HOLIDAY SCHEME (school holidays)

Salary:
Salary range £8.96 to £10.70 per hour
(dependent upon experience).
Accuro is looking to recruit Holiday Support
Workers to take children out both on a 1:1 basis
and within group social and leisure activities
during the summer holidays, covering the area of
west Essex (Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping
Forest).
You must be 18 years old or over and experience
of working with children with disabilities is
desirable.
A full driving licence is preferable, however if
you do not have one, there may also be
opportunities to work alongside someone who
does.
This is a great and flexible way to earn extra
cash during the holidays, in a post where no two
days are ever the same!

COMMUNITY SUPPORT
WORKER (BANK) COOL CONNECTIONS

Salary:
Salary range £8.96 to £10.70 per hour
(dependent upon experience).
Our successful Cool Connections Group offers a
weekly youth club and a 1:1 befriending scheme
for young people on the autistic spectrum aged
between 11 and 19 years of age and who live in
the Harlow area.
We also arrange regular trips and outings,
including an annual holiday.
We are looking for additional staff to support
the project who can work as and when
required.
Full training and support will be offered to
successful candidates.
The person appointed will share our positive
attitudes and is likely to have previous
experience of interacting with children/young
people/adults with a disability.

ADMINISTRATOR

Salary:
£8 to 8.60 per hour (based on experience and
knowledge) 20 hours a week).
Accuro is a successful long-established charity
based in west Essex providing a wide range of
services to children and adults with
disabilities as well as supporting the families
that they are part of.
We have a vacancy for a person to help us with
completing the many general administration tasks
at the charity’s head offices in Takeley.
Working closely with other administrative and
front line staff, the role is varied and
requires a flexible approach to support the
charity’s valuable work in west Essex.
Tasks include assisting with the purchase of
supplies and services, assisting with the
completion of DBS checks for staff and
volunteers, organising and maintaining our
filing and archival systems and supporting work
to maintain a safe environment such as
organising PAT testing, fire extinguisher
servicing etc.
Experience in a similar administrative role is
preferred and a good level of IT skills will be
required.
A 'can do', positive attitude with excellent
people skills is a must due to the wide range of
public, staff and contractors the postholder
will regularly come into contact with.
