SATURDAY, JULY 6    De Merc Chamber Choir, conducted by Alison Fisher, presents Summer Music from England and the New World (madrigals, folk songs and Tallis motets), St Mary's Church, Great Parndon, Harlow (7.30pm).Tickets £10 to include a drink and nibbles.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15   St Clare Walking in Memory, St Clare Hospice, Hastingwood Road, Hastingwood (11am-1pm). A 5km countryside walk (courtesy of Paris Hall Farm), meeting back at the hospice for soup and a roll. Participants will receive a complimentary, hand-held windmill that can be personalised in memory of the person they are walking for. The windmills will be placed in the hospice grounds as part of a display. Tickets cost £10 for adults (£5 for children; £27.50 for a family of four.
